    Description

    For sale are two rare Yamahas XS850 and XS1100 Midnight Special.
    I am selling these two bikes as a lot (
    together
    ) only!  These will be a great
    addition
    to a vintage bike collector. I know that these bikes will cause heads to turn and eyes to follow when you drive them down the road. When you want a color that stands out in a crowd with an unmistakable mystique that is unique onto itself, that color is Black with Gold.
    I am soon retiring and
    selling
    off all the
    remaining
    motorcycles.
    Yamaha
    only
    made these models for 2 years,
    introduced
    in 1980 and 1981 as Midnight Special. Both sold as the XS850HL and XS1100L version. The XS1100 version had a limited production of only 250 each
    year
    .
    I purchased one from an estate sale in IL (XS850) and hoe has 10.5K miles and the big brother bike was purchased from an i
    nsurance
    company UT (XS1100) it has 25K miles. The XS1100 needed a muffler system (see last photo). I was able to find a complete
    original
    exhaust system and installed it.
    The motorcycle has been
    inspected
    in Florida to get new
    re-
    issued
    (rebuilt) title, as it needed the new
    exhaust
    system . The bikes are all
    original
    with only OEM parts. Keep in mind these bikes are 41 years old. They have some minor
    cosmetic
    imperfection,
    but they both overall in very good condition. Deposit (non
    refundable
    of 0.00) is required at end of auction and
    balance
    to be paid by wire transfer, Bank Check or
    certified
    funds with 5 working days.  I can hold the bike up to 2 weeks after auction and help with shipping.
